Late to Bed, Late to Rise!

Pedometer counter as of last night --14569 steps. My Target was 13000 steps! Clap clap clap! Today was one of those days; when warm fuzzy blankets are such a treat! And STRESS checked in- definition of stress here being the confusion created when the mind must override the body's basic desire to sleep! Damn! I went to bed at 11.30 pm! That was just disaster in the making. Long and short of the story I was late by twenty minutes this morning for my exercise and eh! half asleep, and oh the biting chill was just too much. So to reward myself today, I carried my music! And well that was quite nice-- Kirk Franklin; Michael W. Smith, Paul Mwai, Women of Faith, Darlene Zschech; Detrick Haddon, Damita Haddon and many others were my walking companions today! It felt really good to walk to the rhythm of music while enjoying morning praise as I watched the sun come up.

Today is Wednesday the 6th - Day 3 of Kilowatchers week 3. See picture above, that is Alice, My nutritionist and Mike our personal trainer a.k.a Mike the rubber man! Sorry Mike, don't make me run 5 extra laps tomorrow! Rubber man nickname came about because Mike has this ability of making ballet dancers look like they are soldiers during an inspection parade. He can CURL!

That said, if only all doctors would go to the field with their clients rather than write prescriptions and don't practice what they preach, I think the world would be a better place to be in. Now Alice is hands on! 5.30 am you'll here her across the field (that is when she has her voice hehehee) screaming, "Damaaaa faster"! How motivating is that! Equally Mike the rubber man is such a motivator, never pushing you too hard but makes you work hard! The stretch exercises this morning were crazy Mike. One curls till you can almost fit in a 3 by 3 DHL box! Ain't funny at all! Thanks Alice and Mike for being such a pillar in my journey. May my good Lord bless you big time!

Well, I can't sign off before I talk of some terrorists in the team. The Pink Team seems to be the harbor for these modern-day-on-the-ground-not-sea-terrorists. Why we call them terrorists - they climb goals posts (oh yes they literally do so) to get the ball off the goal before it goes in, they run fast and I mean fast, they are very slippery, cunning, don't respond to tickles, deceptively charming and have a way of sneaking behind people and holding their hands from behind. Results; they end up winning all the games! You know yourselves...but to avoid a lawsuit, I shall not name names.. :) Now Blue Team we need to devise such "mean" ways to win these games. Our being nice is working against us! hahaha. So, tomorrow let's strategize on how to develop some rough edges on us!

Some of the team members missed training this morning, hoping you are all well and looking forward to seeing each one of you tomorrow morning.

Till then, have a fantabulous day!

xoxo
